Nina Ferguson is the Office Manager for Kamloops Large Animal Veterinary Clinic. She has held this position for the past 12 years. Nina began her tenure at Kamloops Veterinary Clinic in 1995 when it was a mixed animal practice. When the two factions separated she went along as part of the large animal crew first as head Receptionist and later as Office Manager. As Office Manager Nina is responsible for front end staffing and scheduling and the general day to day workings of the appointment book and proper use of veterinary time. Nina also deals with all things that are official with the CCIA and the CFIA and works collaboratively with the clinic accountant, Jackie Allen and the Executive Director, Arron McKenzie, to ensure that the clinic operates efficiently.
On a personal note – Nina was born in New Westminster and moved to the Kamloops area when she was 9 years old. She has always had a keen interest in livestock, particularly horses. She owned her first horse at age 12 and the love affair went from there. Nina’s exposure to the greater agricultural community was heightened by working at the local exhibition association and the Kamloops Cattle Drive before taking on the job at the veterinary clinic. Nina and her husband Bob live on Duck Range in the Pritchard area and operate C4 Farm where they raise Thoroughbred horses mainly targeting the racing industry. Nina’s special qualities include having a phone book in her head and as her husband jokingly puts it, she is a “walking book of useless information”. In her spare time Nina loves photographing family and friends and nature and enjoys life with the horses on the farm. Nina also grows many types of flowers for the deer to eat.
