Arron McKenzie

Arron McKenzie was born in Kamloops and apart from time away to get his education, he has spent his entire life here.  Arron holds an Agriculture Business degree and spent some time working in the banking industry working with people who make their living within the agricultural industry.  As well, Arron spent a year in the Guadalajara area of Mexico where he worked first hand with local farmers on crop production improvement.  Arron was always drawn to the veterinary field and began to investigate working within it by starting as a volunteer at Kamloops Large Animal Veterinary Clinic in 2005.  His aptitude for it was so good that it quickly morphed into a paid position.  After a number of years of working in the clinic and spending many dedicated hours, Arron is now the Executive Director.  Arron oversees most facets of the day to day operations within the clinic from staffing and inventory to taking care of the truck fleet.  This includes collaboration with the technical department and the front end administration to make sure the clinic runs smoothly.  Arron also assists with surgical procedures and set up as well as doing many after hours and night time rounds when needed. He has also been known to catch the phones in the clinic when it is busy and to get appointments booked or checked in.  Arron owns a small piece of farm property close to Kamloops on Lac La Jeune Road.  Arron has a number of horses of his own as well as his dogs Baxter and Bromley.  He is often called on by his neighbors to help with their cattle by checking fields, gathering or branding.
