Colin grew up on a mixed farm consisting of one-hundred and fifty commercial cows and grain farmed up to forty-five hundred acres of land. Colin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1996, with a major in animal science and minor in plant science. Colin then went to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2000. He then moved to Kamloops and began working for Kamloops Large Animal Veterinary Clinic soon becoming a partner in 2002. Colin has a special interest in equine performance horses, lameness, dentistry, surgery, bovine production, and medicine. His extra-curricular activities include: team roping (heading and heeling), purebred Angus cattle, and his family.
