A Short Story

Before 1999 Kamloops Large Animal Veterinary Clinic was known simply as Kamloops Veterinary Clinic.

Established in 1968, the practice was originally housed in the old Kamloops Exhibition Association building on 10th and Lorne Street. The clinic was later relocated to a brand new building at 1465 Cariboo Place on the far outskirts of Kamloops. This is still the home of the present large animal practice but a few things have changed.

Now completely folded within the city’s busy industrial area, the location is still considered central and convenient from all directions. The building is no longer new but has been renovated a number of times over the past 20 years and hosts a large animal surgery room, several indoor stalls, an indoor cattle head gate system as well as a varied array of up to date equipment for x rays, dental work and ultra sounding.

Today the Kamloops Large Animal Veterinary Clinic is owned by Dr. Jennifer Jackson, Dr. Jason McGillivray and Dr. Colin Mikkelsen.  Dr. Isabelle Mitchell and Dr. Kerry Dyson work as associate veterinarians.
